November 2, 2008 – We were blessed to be in service with Bro. Dave Campbell at First Assembly of God in Timbo. The church greeted us warmly and we sure enjoyed the moving of the Holy Spirit. I was blessed to have my grand-niece, Kayna, (age 10) open the service with the sweetest voice as she sang “Amazing Grace” and the congregation joining her on the last verse. We all need to recognize children and encouraged them in these days and thank God for their participation in church. Thank you, Kayna!! I was moved by the gift given to me by Bro. Thom Walker, a missionary from Nicaragua (who was in service with us). He gave me a pen that he made from a wood in Nicaragua. When the wood is cut, it is white, but as it ages, it turns pink. He said that he is giving this pen to cancer survivors and he blessed me with this gift. Thank you, Bro. Walker. We all want to remember and keep Bro. Campbell in our prayers as he is a 12 week survivor of cancer. Bro. Campbell has a wonderful spirit and is very upbeat. He joined us on stage and played mandolin as Shekanah sang bluegrass. It was enjoyable (he is a good mandolin player). We look forward to going again to Timbo. It is a beautiful place.
Until next time,
Brenda
